WHAT’S ON: JANUARY ART WALK
This February, La Cocina de Luz features Floyd Day, capturing the beauty of western cattle and ranch land near Ridgway, Colorado. With a background in Civil Engineering and a lifelong passion for art, Floyd brings his impressions of the San Juan and Cimarron Mountains to life through vibrant seasonal landscapes. Stop by to experience these captivating works inspired by the rugged charm of the Western landscape!
Citizens State Bank is pleased to be featuring artist Lucy Peveto this Telluride Art Walk. A series of paintings based on beloved Aspen trees and flowers using many built up layers and 3D textures.
Mountain Gate Woodworks: Designed with intention and craftsmanship, each piece transforms everyday moments into meaningful experiences, fostering togetherness, reflection, and joy. Meet Colin Hudon during January Telluride Art Walk!

Join Brandon Berkel, Gabriela MarBlanco and John SirJesse for Art Walk! The Heart of Winter Market, a group show celebrating the creativity and talent of our local community. This exhibit brings together artists from Telluride and surrounding areas, showcasing a wide range of mediums including painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, and more.
The Tellurado Studio proudly features the artwork Markus Pierson, who explores a mythic narrative with his Coyote Series, each piece symbolic of wanderlust and living beyond the boundaries. The protagonists of these hand-embellished prints are the Coyotes: enigmatic figures searching for the next big adventure. Stop in and see the newest editions of Pierson’s collection
Slate Gray Gallery proudly presents Grace and Gravity, a captivating duo exhibition featuring new works by Telluride artist Judith Kohin and Durango’s Krista Harris. The exhibition opens during the Telluride Art Walk from 5–8 PM, with both artists in attendance. Light refreshments will be served.
Rinkevich Gallery, Mountain Village’s premier art gallery, showcases the abstract paintings of artist Margaret Rinkevich. The gallery also offers a distinctive selection of traditional tribal sculptures, small works on paper, collages, and canvas prints of the Telluride area, along with scarves by Lisa K. Anderson's Silk Horizons.
This February, MiXX presents 'Unrequited Love,' a two-artist show featuring work from painters Adde Russell and Cyrus Walker. Charged with pensive color palettes and beguiling narrative threads, the richly layered exhibit embodies a brooding air of longing and introspection. Ah Haa School for the Arts welcomes back Illegal Art and founding member, Otis Kriegel for Recipe Box, an interactive participatory-based installation to inspire self-reflection, thought and human connection. Recipe Box is a public collection of ingredients, measurements, and instructions for life. Some recipes for life have been perfected through trial and error, while others are tried and true traditions handed down over generations. Ah Haa invites visitors to add a recipe or read those recipes that have been shared by others. The exhibition will include collaborative classes and “recipe swap” with Guest Chef Carlin Kriegel. Illegal Art, founded in the summer of 2001, is a collective of artists whose goal is to create participatory-based public art. Each piece is presented or distributed in a method in which participation is simple and encouraged. They have been featured in The Guardian, New York Times, Vogue, DWELL, NPR and completed three projects (Wash Away Your Fears, TO DO, This Is Me) at Ah Haa's HAHA in 2023.
Atelier is featuring Joanie Schwarz’s work. Her fine jewelry, custom clothing, painting and embroidery questions what it means to be home and our feelings of belonging.
This month, Baked in Telluride proudly hosts a group installation created by students in the Ah Haa School for the Arts Winter P.E. program. Over the course of five weeks, Telluride Elementary and Intermediate School students (Grades K-6) have collaboratively designed and crafted a mixed-media piece highlighting techniques in weaving and fiber arts.
Experience this vibrant display of creativity, alongside friends and families of the young artists. Celebrate the talent of Telluride's local youth and the inspiring results of their artistic journey!
The Wilkinson Public Library is showcasing Earth Versions by Heather Romney during the Art Walk. Heather, a former photographer turned painter, explores the geography of the former Lake Bonneville by creating oil paintings from Google Earth screenshots.
