Unrequited Love at MiXX Projects + Atelier

MiXX Projects + Atelier presents Unrequited Love, a two-artist exhibition featuring the evocative works of painters Adde Russell (she/her) and Cyrus Walker (he/him). This richly layered show captures the essence of longing and introspection through pensive color palettes and captivating narratives.

Russell’s oil paintings masterfully blend meticulous realism with moments of painterly expressionism, creating visually dense works steeped in mystery and open to interpretation. Meanwhile, Walker’s pieces nod to mid-century illustration, with comic book cowboys set against brooding, surreal landscapes that challenge conventional Western Americana tropes.
