Baracutanga's show is a high energy tour through South America's various music styles, such as cumbia, samba, huanyo and a mix of these and more. The seven-piece core ensemble features, horns, vibes, accordion, charango and Andean flutes and is kept pumping with a rhythm section of drums, electric bass and guitar. The strong stage presence and lead vocals of Peruvian songstress, Jackie Zamora, is supported by the harmonies of Ecuadorian multi-instrumentalist Carlos Noboa and Bolivian multi-instrumentalist, Kilko Paz. The show includes frequent instrument changes that keeps the musical textures interesting and the visual performance exciting. Audience members are encouraged to dance and guided in dancing traditional forms like the Andean huayno and Colombian cumbia. Baracutanga often includes a "batucada" or Brazilian drum march with many fun rhythmic changes.
