Join Scott Stewart and Telluride Arts for an intimate evening of music at Telluride Arts HQ.

Scott Stewart, founding member and guitar player of Floodgate Operators, knows a thing or two about fast flat picking bluegrass and has continued perfecting the craft since the band's 2018 conception. In 2023, Floodgate Operators took home second place at the 50th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition and have continued to grow and expand their reach in the bluegrass world ever since. Scott has been performing solo shows for the last year, highlighting everything from his original contributions to the band, nods to his musical inspirations, and all the old bluegrass traditionals that fall between. Scott's solo performances offer the intimacy akin to those from the bluegrass days of old with an ability to connect with flat picking fans of all generations.

The Black Canyon Boys are a mountain grass trio, born right in the heart of the San Juans. The group formed in 2023 like a bolt of lightning crashing down upon the high desert landscape. Continuing to push the proverbial genre-defining boundaries of what it means to perform bluegrass, the band proves that their music is not fit to be boxed in and that they have something uniquely their own to offer the world. Continuing to write new material at a consistent rate, the trio are preparing to take to the studio in 2024 to record their debut body of work.
