we are your local arts council!

…and we love our interns!

Internships with Telluride Arts provide hands-on experience in arts management and a wide variety of programs. Join a professional staff to deliver innovative programs that serve to coalesce and promote artists and the arts in our community. Activities include all aspects of gallery management, including hanging exhibits monthly in several venues, promotion, coordination with artists and retail sales; artist database development, web content management and social media, video production, sponsor cultivation and advertising sales, and much more.

The work environment at Telluride Arts is very fast-paced, and each member of the staff is expected to be self-directed while working closely in a team environment. The ability to seek information and independently learn skills is essential to making the most of your internship with us.

Internships can be full or part time, and hours are flexible within an agreed timeframe.

To apply for an internship, please fill out the form below. Include your area of study, and some of the specific things that you're interested in doing that will advance your specific learning interests. Please also let us know if you're looking for full or part-time, the dates you plan to be in Telluride. Include time away if you have that planned, and days and times of the week you're available if you already know.

The internships at Telluride Arts are unpaid. If you plan on holding another job, we can likely work around it with some planning. Our busiest times are July 2,3,4 and again July 10-18, and for several days every month preparing new gallery exhibits that open for Art Walk on first Thursdays from 5-8pm.
