Join Gabrielle Louise and Telluride Arts for an intimate evening of music at Telluride Arts HQ.

Gabrielle Louise writes original Americana that, though rooted in folk tradition, blends a sophisticated use of musical harmony with a lyrical love for philosophy, history, and storytelling. Her voice is agile as birdsong in one moment, and bold as a coal train whistle in another. Known for her authenticity and candor on stage, her performances delight with whimsical banter and enchant with dynamic musicality. The daughter of two vagabond musicians who toured the country in an old airstream trailer (children-in-tow), Louise inherited the predisposition to wanderlust and song. She has been described as a “modern day troubadour noted for her poignant lyrics and lush voice.”

More about the artist:

After graduating Berklee College of Music in 2007, she crossed the country many times over in a veggie oil powered tour van, released nine records of original work, and has been entrusted to open for greats from Joan Osborn to the late Guy Clark. Career highlights include giving an original TEDx talk on storytelling, taking first place in the Songwriter Serenade Competition, and watching her record "If the Static Clears" climb to #6 on the National Roots Music Report for Contemporary Folk Album.

“She manages to blend seemingly disparate styles of music into a captivating blend...Her voice is going to make time stand still in that it is full, rich and has great nuance in it...A beautifully crafted disc in every possible way." — No Depression

“Gabrielle is a thoughtful, talented, gentle soul with a gift for words and an immensely soothing musical effect…she has enough warmth in her voice to hear a cold room for hours…both classy and seductive.” - Jim Hynes, Making a Scene MagazineCovenhoven is internationally recognized indie artist Joel Van Horne, a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter whose rich harmonies, reedy baritone and commanding falsetto have found a home with critics and fans since 2013.  The appearance is in support of his recent album “IV”, which he co-produced with Ben Wysocki of The Fray.  The album features guest musicians Gregory Alan Isakov, and Luke Mossman (Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats), among many others.
