Peter Waldor is a local poet who has published 24 books so far. Two of his favorite things to do are hike the mountains and write poetry and he frequently does these two things simultaneously. Peter was the Poet Laureate of San Miguel County from 2014 to 2015 and he received the National Jewish Book Award in Poetry for his book Who Touches Everything. His work has appeared in many journals, including the American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, Iowa Review, Colorado Review, Poetry Daily, Verse Daily, 34 th Parallel and Mothering Magazine.

Peter will be doing a reading on March 6 th , 2024 at Telluride Arts HQ East to celebrate his publication of 10 books this winter! This must be a record in the annals of poetry! Come celebrate and hear Peter share poems that will make you laugh, open your heart, and maybe shed a tear or two.
