Working on…

A long-term photo project documenting Colorado wildfires. The series mostly captures environments in a state of regrowth. It’s a reminder that though there is an increasing amount of destruction and violence in our world (Climate Change! State-sanctioned injustice! Pandemic! Economic crisis!), there is always the possibility to grow anew.

Secret talent…

You might be surprised to learn that I’ve played competitive baseball my entire life. I’m a pitcher! Also… I make a pretty mean milkshake—even though I’m lactose intolerant.

Happy place…

Whenever I try to meditate, I mentally go to Alta Lakes… at sunset, when the wind is rippling the water, and the sun is glittering orange all over. Ideally there’s a hammock around…and good company.

Listening to…

Caamp! They’re from my home state (Ohio!), but they’ve got CO feels. Also - if you’re not down with folklore by Taylor Swift, you’re missing out…

Recent inspiration…

Greta Thunberg - what a total powerhouse! Endlessly inspired by her courage and conviction.

Summer or Winter?

Generally, I prefer summer vibes (a beer on the porch > a snowy hot tub). But, it’s tricky because I love to ski and I’d rather ski than hike…

You can have dinner with anyone living, dead, or fictional. Who?

Bruce Springsteen. It’s kind of silly, but his music has shaped so many stages of my life.
