Marbled Pinch Pots
Drawing inspiration from the vibrant palette and intricate textures of Telluride’s natural surroundings, this collection of pots is the culmination of four years of experimentation, perseverance, and an unwavering dedication to the art of the pinch pot. What began as a departure from contemporary methods inspired by my time teaching art to kids, evolved into an exploration of form, function, and feeling.
Crafted through thousands of pinches, each vessel is unique and embraces the organic shape achieved through this intuitive method. Infused with vibrant mason stains and oxides, the marbled patterns in the porcelain forms are a testament to the countless hours spent gently manipulating each pot into shape, one pinch at a time.
In every piece, Tara strive to create functional art. She firmly believe a meticulously crafted mug has the power to elevate the ordinary rituals of daily life. Her goal is to create objects that not only look and feel great, but also inspire a sense of connection with oneself, others, and the present moment.
