From the saloons of Telluride to the some of the most sought-after venues in America, Bill Nershi has delighted countless fans as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and founding member of the String Cheese Incident, Honkytonk Homeslice and The Emmitt-Nershi Band. Bill and his musician wife Jilian will be joined by the Kauai based trio of Island Grass. Island Grass’ sound can be thought of as an island inspired fusion of Hawaiian music, reggae and bluegrass. While Bill, Jilian and Island Grass became close on the quiet island of Kauai, the founding members of the trio and Bill all attended the same high school just north of New York City at different times. Island Grass is comprised of Ken Solin on guitar and lead vocals, Pat Gmelin on banjo and backing vocals and Rob Arita on mandolin and backing vocals.
