In this intensive, students will begin their adventures into the realm of metalsmithing! Artist Tracey Belt will cover the core skills necessary for students to create their own works of beauty in metal! Participants will begin by learning to create silver rings. This simple project will be a jumping off point that will inform the rest the workshop. Students will learn to solder metals using a torch, to saw and file, to set stones, and much more. By creating beautiful jewelry, students will learn the important core skills of metalsmithing. Students will leave this class with several rings, a pendent, and a self designed project of their choice!
