PAUL EVANS LECTURE SERIES Three nights, three amazing lectures!

The Ah Haa School I Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday  |  6:00 – 8:00pm I March 17, 18 & 19, 2020 I FREE

Music/book/art critic and philosopher extraordinaire Paul Evans returns to Ah Haa for a FREE three-night lecture series. From culture chaos (what is going on these days?) to art imbedded with mysteries, to centering your soul, Paul will fascinate and enthrall you. Join us for some captivating cultural considerations for one, two or all three nights.

Tuesday – CULTURE: Anything Goes: Finding Ourselves in a Fluid Age

Post-truth. JOMO. Non-binary. Collusion. Advertainment. Deep State. FOMO. Dark Web. Collusion. Thank you, next.  Politics, Identity, Culture, Fashion, Therapy, Lifestyle – eveything’s shifting, everything’s fluid. Where on earth are we headed? Together, let’s find out.

Wednesday – ART: The Velasquez Code: History’s Most Analyzed Painting

What’s the allure of Las Meninas? Celebrating both Michel Foucault’s postmodern reflection and more traditional treatments, examine the masterpiece of “the painter’s painter.” Puzzle out, as well, other coded work – Dali, Escher, Van Eyck, and more.

Thursday – THOUGHT: Into the Mystic: Once You’ve Discovered an Inner Life, What Do You Do With It?

Religious passions mirror the times, says Rabbi Howard Kushner. These days, especially among the rising SBNR (spiritual-but-not-religious) demographic, it’s Mysticism that fascinates. What is it? How does it work? With the Bhagavad Gita and Plato, Teresa of Avila and Paramahansa Yogananda, as well as modern seers, explore Your Interior Castle.

All evenings are FREE and open to the public!
