Ridgway author and journalist Leslie Chang has built a career on in-depth and place-based coverage of women in the developing world. She spent years in China reporting for The Wall Street Journal, and during that time published Factory Girls (a 2008 New York Times Notable Book!), which follows the lives of young women working in China’s industrial economy.
Now, she’s back with a book reporting on the stories of women in Egypt, and tracing ways in which globalization, history, and tradition have come in conflict to shape their lives.
Join KOTO Radio for ‘Off The Record’ Live from Telluride Arts HQ for a discussion and Q&A with Chang. The conversation will be live broadcast from the gallery to the KOTO airwaves if you can’t join in-person.
