To celebrate the start of Blues and Brews weekend, Telluride Arts & Disco Swell Custom Hats present an inaugural art installation featuring a capsule custom hat collection showcasing local artists. Open to the public, festivities kick off with an opening party on Thursday night at Telluride Arts with live music, a wine bar and hors d'oeuvres. Guests will receive a first look at the exhibit and the opportunity to meet Disco Swell founder and exhibit director, Caitlin Sappington. This pop-up exhibit features a capsule collection of over fifteen custom Disco Swell hats with hand sewn satin liners created in partnership with local Telluride artists. The artists have utilized multiple mediums ranging from photography, paintings, digital sculptures and more to curate the liners. Each hat will be displayed next to a print of the respective artist’s work. The capsule collection is available for purchase and with each hat, the majority of the proceeds will go to Telluride Arts and the local artists featured in the Disco Swell Custom Hat collection.
