Founded in the rollicking campgrounds of Telluride’s own Bluegrass Festival, Elk Range presents a singular Rocky Mountain-inspired sound that’s sure to send Warehouse-revelers back to a time and place when the summer was new and the grass was blue.

Listen here.

Elk Range has been playing music for over 6 years starting in the campgrounds of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Since starting out, they have shared festival bills with the Sam Bush Band, played the The Ute Theater, Aspen Mountain Summer Bluegrass Series, and countless other venues across western Colorado and beyond.

Ken is from St. Louis originally where he played with St. Louis's '2005 Best Bluegrass Band', The Sawmill Band. He plays Ellis and Pava mandolins, guitar and has written over 100 original songs.

Curtis is originally from Illinois but grew up here in Carbondale CO. Curtis found a love of guitars from his grandfather, following in his footsteps and often showcasing his jazz and improv background.

Betty Hoops is a 5x Guinness Record Athlete Hooper and Harmonica Extraordinaire and puts the 'blues' in Bluegrass.

Hugh Phillips is the most recent addition on bass, and is a phenomenal songwriter in his own right. Not only has Hugh penned 100's of original songs but he is also a Dark Shadow recording artist- recorded and produced by Sam Bush Band's guitarist, Stephen Mougin.

They are often found playing throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, across the Western Slope, and coming to a town near you!
