August 15 - 18, 2019 | Telluride | Tickets Available Online
39th Annual Telluride Mushroom Festival. Join forager and wild foods advocate, Katrina Blair, for a meal prepared from locally procured wild foods, as well as wholesome organic farmed items. Katrina will walk to the Telluride Mushroom Festival from Durango (a week-long hike) and collect much of the fare for the WildFoods Dinner on her way.
Telluride has hosted the quirky Mushroom Festival for over 30 years. The festival is a celebration of all things fungal - connoisseurs find themselves in good company amongst enthusiasts, experts, and scientists. Interests range from scientific to culinary, curiosity to investigative. Activities of the weekend include lectures by renowned experts, cooking with mushrooms, and guided hikes that focus on mushroom hunting and identification. The 2019 event will focus on "healing the mind and the planet" and will include the work of Professor Emeritus of Pharmacology at Purdue, Dr. David Nichols, founder of Chile's Fundacion Fungi, Giuliana Furci, Mushroom Mountain's Tradd and Olga Cotter, and the San Juans' own Katrina Blair.
