The Sheridan Arts Foundation and Telluride Music Co. proudly present Jeff Plankenhorn live. Doors open at 7 p.m., music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Telluride Music Co. at (333 W. Colorado Ave., 970.728.9592), or at door the night of the show. 

For the better part of the last 17 years—ever since Jeff Plankenhorn first moved to Texas with nothing to his name but a Geo Prism, $100, seven guitars and the generous hospitality of Ray and Judy Hubbard—the gifted multi-instrumentalist from Columbus, Ohio has worked tirelessly to prove himself not just able and willing, but above all worthy of playing with the best of the best including Ray Wylie Hubbard and the Flatlanders. Plank plays a lot of guitar on his latest album, "Sleeping Dogs," along with pedal steel, piano, upright bass and more, but in stark contrast to "SoulSlide," his 2016 breakout album, "Sleeping Dogs" is about the songs.
