BOARD CHANGES
As you know, our Board is shifting.
Both Warner and Bob have submitted their letters of retirement, (in your files and attached) and Julya has given us notice that it's time for her to move on. All three have given SO MUCH that we needed to get us to this incredible spot, and I'd love to really celebrate their significant contributions at some point. All are all willing to serve on our advisory board, which is perfect. Gifts are in the works!
And So...
We have two new board members who want to join us, help us raise money, and expand our network to support the Warehouse and Telluride Arts in the coming years. Penelope and I have met with them again this week, and both are motivated and excited.
Those people are Eric Cummings (who we discussed) who brings architectural expertise and great connections with architecture patrons and Ken Meridith, whose home was on the Art + Architecture tour (London Calling) is an art collector, and very enthusiastic about the project. ken and I had a great meeting with David Lewis during A+A. Ken is between jobs, but was a commodity trader in the oil and gas industry, and splits his time between Telluride and Houston with his wife Jamie and their three young kids. He's particularly excited about the exhibitions space and has no problem imagining how it will be a "game changer" for Telluride and the region. Ken's Telluride collection includes Richard Serra, Agnes Martin, Brian Wills, Robert Rauschenberg, Sol Lewitt and Robert Swain. Very inspired and inspiring.
