Presentation about proposed Transfer Warehouse design

with David and Paul Lewis, LTL Architects

Thursday, June 29, 3-5pm
Program Room at the Wilkinson Public Library

Please join us to welcome back LTL Architects, the winning architectural firm for the revitalization of the Telluride Transfer Warehouse.

On June 29th from 3-5pm all are welcome for a community gathering in the Program Room at the Wilkinson Public Library to hear a 1 hour presentation given by the architects and participate in a 1 hour Q & A session thereafter.

LTL Architects is a design intensive architecture firm founded in 1997, located in New York City. Lewis. Tsurumaki.Lewis engages a diverse range of work, from large-scale academic and cultural buildings to interiors and speculative research projects; which was determined to be a perfect fit for the mélange of functions planned for the new Warehouse interior. Such functions include a café & bar, visual art exhibitions, special events, and flexibility throughout.  The Warehouse will be free and open to the public, and a gathering place for the community.  A favorite feature of the building is the proposed rooftop bar with views of the mountains and beautiful Telluride alpenglow.

LTL Architects was featured in the U.S. Pavilion at the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennale and their work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in NY, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Carnegie Museum of Art. Needless to say, they have proven their talents and diverse design concepts. LTL Architects will be breathing new life into the Transfer Warehouse building by inserting a state of the art, best in class design in the existing historic envelope of the building.

Telluride Arts is confident that LTL Architects will design the right spaces to fulfill our vision, and welcome the community to come meet the architects, and learn in greater depth about their firm and concepts for the Warehouse.
