Art + Architecture A Success!
The 2016 Art + Architecture Weekend was a great success! It was a sold out weekend, and the preliminary financial reports have us grossing approximately $43,000 and netting about $25,000. The following report is missing a few expenses, which will be on par with, or slightly above last year.
Proposed improvements for 2017:
- Increase chef stipend from $300-$600
- Establish competitive grants program for artists doing site specific work: total fund: $1500, up to $500 per grant
- Seek new liquor sponsors direct to wineries and/or distilleries
- Hire additional staff to help with planning and event support
- Get sponsorship from TMVOA and do a Mtn Village tour day.
- Ticket all kids full price, they eat like pigs. :)
- Increase ticket prices by $20
- Make the greeter/donor person part of the venue team.
- Alternative venue could be campers, parked in Mtn Village Core
- reach out to rental companies and hotels to do lodging packages
- Create info pages on website for teams
- Consider a party Sat night, feature winning chef and artist from previous year
