The Telluride Arts Holiday Bazaar is a lively holiday tradition that features a wide variety of fine arts, fine crafts and artisan foods made right here in the Telluride region. The Bazaar features a wide variety of high quality, handmade items from almost 50 local artists and artisans.

2014 DATES: Friday December 5, Saturday December 6, Sunday December 7

The Holiday Bazaar showcases locally made arts, fine crafts and artisan foods made in the Telluride region for ultimate local art shopping experience.   All work must be original, of good quality and produced by the exhibiting artist. Imports, manufactured, commercial, kit work or re-sales are not welcome.

WHERE: The Telluride High School Cafeteria. 725 West Colorado Avenue

OPEN HOURS: Friday 5pm-8pm,  Saturday 10am-7pm, Sunday 11am-3pm (subject to change)

SET UP: Friday December 5, 3:30-5pm sharp (school is in session that day, no earlybirds)

BREAK DOWN: Sunday, December 7, 3pm-5pm sharp (no earlybirds)

 

WHAT YOU NEED

 

Please bring a table* and any other supplies needed for your booth. WE WILL KEEP THE OVERHEAD FLUORESCENT LIGHTS OFF FOR AMBIANCE. We will keep the overhead cans ON, and the school promises they will work this year. PLEASE BRING extension cords, good lighting for your booth, festive decoration, stools/chairs, and general good cheer.  Most spaces have outlets for electricity, but not all. We will do our best to provide a nearby plug, but please have extension cords on hand. Artists are responsible for set up, take down and all delivery, handling, and removal of artwork.  * if you are on the first level upstairs, do not bring a table. You will use a stationary cafeteria table covered with a 4x4 piece of plywood that we provide.

 

COSTS

All spaces are 4’ x 4’. You are welcome to reserve more than one space.

REGULAR RATE: $160 per space with no required volunteer commitment.

VOLUNTEER RATE: $110 per space with 4 hours of required volunteer time: two, two-hour shifts

COMMISSION: There is an 85% (Artist)-15% (Telluride Arts) split at the Bazaar.

SHARING: $90 per person with no volunteer commitment. $70 per person with a 4 hour volunteer commitment. 

SALES

Telluride Arts will handle all sales at a central location

CREDIT CARDS: We accept visa, mastercard, checks and cash, and pay all processing fees out of our %.

TAXES: We collect and pay applicable state, county and city sales taxes.

PAYMENTS: You will receive a check equal to the total amount of sales less the commission within two weeks. Please note: Uncle Sam Wants YOU to report your state and federal income taxes, if applicable. 

LABLES + INVENTORY: We plan to inventory all items in advance this year to make record-keeping, payments and checkout even smoother. We will send you an email the first week of November with details.

Spaces are secured when fees are received.
